It looks like all the KDX 200 voltage regulators from '90 on up are the same, am I right?

Yeah, pretty much. However, you can pick up a universal VR from Rocky Mountain or just about any online retailer around $15.

oh wow these are much cheaper, and adjustable (at least the one from Rocky Mountain ATV is) and brand new. I'll definitely be going with one of these, thanks man. I'm guessing the yellow goes to the hot wire from the coil and the brown goes to the frame? Where did you bolt up your VR?

The '90 up KDX's came with a VR from the factory and that is what mine still has. The VR's do come with installation instructions and are easy as pie to wire in.
