Say what? I have an 07 WR250F and it's the largest lay-out I've ever owned - I also had an 02 and it felt similar but with a higher cg. I can move around on my 07 like its a dance floor. Mebbe your bike was modified by a previous owner?
The KDX is a bit smaller than the 96 WR250z (smoker) I also own, but not by much. The KDX works well with bar changes and risers for sure, the pegs are a little closer to the ground tho, and can bust a foot more easily than most bikes.
The KDX is the most fun, I think, because it rides so light and has a good engine. It makes me want to challenge the terrain more than most bikes. I keep giving them up, then coming back.
I'm 5'10" and 165 lbs.

The KDX has always been underestimated by the masses.

5' 6" and about 150lbs. I've cut 1" or so out of the seat.

And at 64 I could well be the oldest KDX rider!

Any advance on 64?

Cheers

All I can tell you is that is how it felt to me. It felt tiny yet a whole lot heavier than my KDX. It also didn't have any top end IMO.

That does not sound like an uncorked WR. A good running uncorked WR has lots of top. A poor running bike feels heavier....no kidding.

I'm 5' 10" 220.

The KDX is slightly smaller and more top heavy than my CR250.

When I sold my 00 220, one of the guys looking at it said, these are like a 3/4 size bike aren't they? I don't know where people get these ideas.
I'm 5'9" 275ish and love my 200. It is 2 inches shorter in seat height and wheel base than my other bikes, so I'd say it is 95% normal size.

The E-series definitely feels heavier/top-heavier/girthier than the H. However the E seems to fit shorter people better(not to say that it still doesn't fit bigger people). I helped outfit two buds with KDX's this year. One on an E (smaller guy), one on an H. When the 2nd guy got the H, they tried each others bikes out, and liked 'their' choice best...Which meant I did good.

im 6 1 and 210
somehow i feel like this bike is huge
it might be because i cant set both feet flat on the ground when in standing still or maybe its because my previous bike was the everpowerfull 88 yamaha DT50LC...talk about a 3/4 bike

I am 6' 2" and 230#. The bike is not small compared to my WR450, in fact they are sized very much the same. Just the soft suspension lets it squat lower. I could use tall seat foam, though.

I found great traction on both ends by adjusting the rear spring and getting the proper balance. It bottoms hard, though, and is no good at all on whooped out trail. The rear could follow the ground better, especially under braking. I put an extra-wide WR tire on the KDX, and it helps a lot.

I have some DRZ forks on the way to help remedy the evils of the stock forks. We'll see what it can do with better components.

I didn't buy in to the USD conspiracy, especially after having new fork seals put in the WR this spring, and they are starting to leak even after running seal savers all year.
This is my rifle, this is my gun, the YZ to go fast, the KDX is for fun!

I am 5'10" and go 225lbs, and the bike feels great. Upgraded the shock and fork springs.

I'm 6'2" and 200lbs. Fits alright, peg to seat distance has always felt strange though. Standing feels like I'm WAY up off the seat. Sitting, my knees are bent almost as much as on the Hayabusa.
Otherwise it's, well.. alright.

I have three KDX's and they all feel like they are different sizes. The only difference (size wise anyway) is the handle bars. I have the Renthal 971 bend which pulls me more forward then the bend on my wife's KDX. I'm not sure what bend her's are but they are lower and more swept back compared to mine.

I'm 5' 10" and 270 lbs with a 30" inseam and I think the bike fits me just fine. My wife is 5' 9" with a 36" inseam and she thinks her bike is too tall for her.

172cm and 75kg. My mountain bike is so much lighter and my cb1300 so much heavier.
