Here it is again diving as i brake into a sharp corner.
I wouldnt mind but i actually have a spare set of standard forks and some KX forks to do the conversion. The problem is, i ride my GasGas EC300 a lot aswell and the suspension never comes to mind. These pic's have reminded me for sure this time though.

The stock springs are .035 kg/mm. I put in 1998 XR400 fork springs and they were a big help (.038 kg/mm), but later model XR400's used .040's, which would have been better. I weigh 210 or so.

Better view of it with a fellow rider. The climb up to it wasnt much more shallow to be fair but thats enduro
Anyway, i havent done anything to the forks since i bought it nearly 4 years ago. Thats why i say i finally need to do something

An oil change and stiffer springs might be in order, eh?

Once you start down that road of improvement it is hard to stop , I find....

Depending on what your looking to do it might be worth the fork swap route. Just my .02

Ha! Did awful. My favorite race and i had sinus problems. Hurt like hell every time i hit a bump :) Kind of just bimbled around eventually just to get the finish.
To be honest, i was going to do the oil and springs etc but i just fancy a smart USD front end. Funny enough i was chatting to a suspension specialist i know last night and he has a complete CRF front end that he well convert and fit to my KDX. Its expensive but as i never intend selling the KDX as we have a lot of history it may be worthwhile.
Best do some creeping to the financial director/accountant etc (Wife) :)

GreatBritishRob ... a little advice for ya. When I get home from work at night, my hubby says, "by the way, i bought ..."

he's already got it. what am i going to say? no sense getting upset over it cuz eventually i will GET over it. so i just say, "whatever."

try that approach. what's the accountant going to say/do?

Tell her it is a safety issue. The stock forks are unsafe and all the experienced riders get USD's along with other safety equipment.
