Bar Risers

Post by Fatherof2 »

Hi Gang,

I had the opportunity to ride a buddys bike yesterday. His handlebars were much higher than mine. I liked it very much. I would love to get some risers for my KDX H. However, I just picked up a Scotts damper, and need to be able to fit that in the mix as well. I am running Pro Taper Hi Bend bars at the moment. When I am standing, and leaning forrward, my bars are at crotch level. It does not feel stabil. My buddies bike solved that. Any suggestions on where to get what I need?

Thanks All,

D.

Not cheap, but these are really nice.

the anti-vibration ones work quite well too, but I don't know if they'd get in the way of your damper.

Do the sub mount for the Scotts damper and you will be happy.
That will lift the bars about 22mm
How much lift are you looking for?

I am not sure exactly how much higher I want the bars.

I like the look of those Rox risers.

Not sure if the Scotts will work with that set up, but I am going to find out.

Thanks guys.

Ohhhhhhhhhh...........Mr Wibbens.............that looks nice!

How do you like it? Big improvement? Is that the 2 inch version! Did it help a lot while standing and going fast? Sorry for all the Q's.

Any idea if a Scotts can be rigged up in the mix somehow?

Thank you,

David

I still don't stand much but man it's so much nicer having my arms basically just going straight out in front of me. I can ride much more relaxed

Really tight single track I can just countersteer with a little bump of either palm

I don't know why a Scott's would not work

Wibbs,

I just ordered my 2" Rox Risers.

Did you need new cables?

I still have the original cables on the bike. Not sure if they will reach.

Thank you,

D.
