Rear Tire Size

I have been using the Bridgestone 403/404 combo, and I am not very happy with the front tire, it seems like it washes out kind of easy and is unpredictable.

On my KTM I run a matched set of Pirelli Scorpion XC mid/soft tires, and love them! The problem is they do not make a 100/100-18 rear to match the 80/100-21 front, and the 110/100-18 on my KTM seems to be quite a bit taller than the 100/100-18 Bridgestone on the KDX.

Has anyone tried running a 110/100-18 on the rear, and if so how much did it effect the handling? Did you have to raise the front end or increase rear sag to get acceptable cornering? I don't want to screw up the steering geometry by drastically changing the tire height, so I am curious what other KDXer's have had success with. :supz:

I've never run a 100/100

I always run a 110/100 when I can

I think you are putting too much thought into this

Many hare scramblers and Enduro racers in New England run the Pirelli MT16. I run it at 110/100 on the kdx without any noticeable bike effects. It feels like it belongs on that bike. I don't think the 110 should cause any problems. Now, the 120/100 looks huge and is a big jump from the 100. Never tried it though.

I ran a 110/100 Kenda Trackmaster for awhile

It was pretty much the same size as the 100/100 Bridgerock that came on my bike
