just wondering what everyone is running in their dyna ring.... the install instructions call for no teflon and other additives in the oil... anyone have good results with a certain brand over another?

ATF Type F. No special brand just whatever is the cheapest. Change every other ride for best performance.

I asked Revloc that question. I told him I had been using ATF type F and wanted to know if I should switch to something else. Alan said to keep using the ATF.

I also get the cheapest I can find at Wally World or any of the auto stores.

Check your local auto parts stores. My local Autozone discontinued a lot of oils last summer. I bought all the ATF type F they had, which was several cases. Most of it by Valvoline, not that it matters. Paid about $1.65 per quart. WOOT!

Hey SS109, I dig your new avatar!

Jeff Fredette told me he recommends 10W-40 motor oil. He says it is all he has ever used, and that he will go a couple thousand miles before changing it. Would ATF be a better call if you have a Dyna Ring?

That's what I use....Just make sure the label doesn't say 'energy conserving.' Valvoline Maxlife is one. I usually just use SAE 30.
