89 kdx front brake lever stopper

My front brake lever has no stopper so the lever goes all the way back against the hand guard. I added 32085 to my latest order with Ron Ayers and was told this is no longer available from Kawasaki. Is there another lever I should use that has an integrated stopper? Or should I bend a small piece of metal to make something like pictured here?
