CDI compatability

Does anyone know if any other CDI's can be used on the 1991-1994 KDX250? MIne went south and I am supposed to race on sunday...

Yeah, pretty much anything that wires up exactly the same should work...Like a KX125/250, KDX200, etc. The CDI mapping/timing curve might not be the same, but the bike should still run decent (could even run better to your liking, or worse...LOL).

Gotta remember, the KDX CDI is set up with 2 different timing curves. One for when the KIPS are closed, and one for KIPS open. I think the change is at about 6k rpm. Slapping on a different one could have some pretty interesting results. I wonder that about the product moto_psycho is trying out as well. Did the designer consider this?
