I live near that guy, maybe I could get a good deal and save shipping...
I had Scotts half-waffle grips but didn't like them. I just put on some Pro Grips and REALLY like those. I also use MSR "Dominator" aluminum bars; cheaper than the top-flight stuff (~$35) and has worked just fine so far. I hit a tree hard enough to break my wrist last fall but the handlebars were fine!

http://www.scottsperformance.com/indexmain.html -> Product Index -> T -> Triple Clamps -> Triple Clamps (offroad bikes) -> Kawasaki. KDX's are listed as $189.Indawoods wrote:I'm sure they will sell it to you seperately... They are great to work with!
I don't have the triple clamp but I do like the damper, Renthal Scott's bend bars, and their bar cones.

Thanks for pointing out the path to get there, gwhII!
Someone DID get a great deal on those clamps. They look great. They are the first ones I know of for the 1995 and newer models.

You're welcome; just passing on what I've found. I really like the BRP stuff too. Check out the S.U.B. mount for Scotts dampers--too cool. When I finally do the USD upgrade, I want the BRP setup; I won't be any faster but I'll be doing it in style.
Inda, when you do it, post how it turns out!

Scotts does (at least did) have Renthal 7/8" bars with a bent cross bar for a damper to fit under. That's what I have on mine. I just had to notch the pad. If you want to go with Protapers or Fatbars, then I agree that the sub mount is the only way to go.FLAKDX wrote:hmmmm wonder if they do a sub mount for the stock forks KDX clamp? I like the steering damper idea but sitting on top of everything with no pad is just asking me to kiss it hard one day LOL
