i tried a seach but came up with nothing.my tank insert for rad shoud is spinning in the tank.how do i remove it.i cut shroud off an tried a flat head screwdriver behind it to hold it but nothing.sprayed with PB an waite.
while im at it im thinking about just putting a aftermarket tank on.anyone have these aftermarket gas tanks an what do you think about them.the one im looking at is a clark 3.6 gal i think.

If you get it hot enough while putting pressure on it the insert will pull out of the tank. Then you can epoxy or jb weld it back in. To heat it up, use a heat gun, or put an electric drill on the bolt and just spin the hell out of it until it melts its way out of the tank. That's the only fix I know of.

I think jb weld would work good enough and is less messy than the epoxy.

I'm dealing with the same problem now. Only it's the 2 bolts that hold the tank to the frame.
Going to grind the heads off of the bolts and hopefully get the tank pried out. Been wanting a clear Clarke for a while, looks like the final reason to get one.
