Dyna Ring Installation Tips

Realized this weekend that a stall in the wrong spot takes more out of me than the entire race. Decided to purchase Dyna Ring for the Hybrid. I have a 2002 220r on the hybrid. Are there any installation tips I should know about before attempting the install?

I'm hoping the ring shows up no later than the 7th so that I have time to install before we head out for race this weekend,

Thanks in advance!

MAKE SURE YOU GET BOTH JUDDER SPRINGS. One of them is easy to miss.

There is a pictorial guide specifically for the kdx on thumpertalk

Robert,

I put a Dyna Ring in our 2000 KDX 200 and didn't have any trouble at all.

Other than that installation is as easy as changing a clutch. Now, adjustment is another matter!

Mine was easy to get adjusted but I am constantly fine tuning to find the sweetest spot. So far it has been the bomb. It has saved me MANY stalls.

Good luck with your install.

I would suggest adjusting it by what you feel by riding it...not by pushing it around the garage. If it slips under acceleration, its probably too tight. For reference on my H model, the clutch pusher arm angles with clutch released and engaged is close to what it was with the stock clutch components. Hope this helps.
