Yeah, but even with mods the TTR is never going to compare to the power delivery of the KDX.

No, it won't compare power wise but it will out maneuver it in the really tight stuff with ease.

Granted the power delivery will never be that of a kdx but ridin that ttr I can man handle it almost like a bmx.

Maybe a lowered hybrid would be the ticket.

Butterfly: have you tried one already or is there someone in your area that could let you ride his?
+ if you get a hybrid, you get the coolness of the KX ... It's "pretteez"

I see a hybrid analysis coming......

KDX motor in the TTR frame?

I borrowed a TTR for my wife a few years ago. She rode it for a while. When I rode it I thought it was pretty awful. It was fine for her at the time, not much good for anything else. No motor, no suspension.

The KX100 on the other hand is a real bike. I think the KX100/KDX hybrid idea has been beat to death.

The 87 XR200 is a full size bike and has a pretty good chassis.

The OP does not own one of those, though.....
