Handlebar Bends
What are you favorites? I'm thinking about a Protaper CR hi, or Henry/Reed. I think I like the CR hi the best.

Have you guys ever seen a website that shows the different bends side by side? The local motorcycle shops don't stock very many dirt bike parts, so I don't have an easy way to compare one bend to another.
I've found a few pictures of different bars together, but it doesn't indicate what bar is what bend.

I'm not trying to advertise but the Cycle Gear store near me has about a dozen different bars on display. My son has inherited my KDX 200. He says he wants the Protaper Henry/Reed in gray. I'm goin to pick one up for his birtyday next month. His uncle gave him a set of Cycra Probend hand guards.

RMATV's bar charts are what I used to figure out what bend I wanted. I got as close a bend to the factory Renthals and it turned out to be the YZ/WR bend.scheckaet wrote:RMATV has a section on bar bends, dunno if it'll help but just fyi

If you buy mini bars you don't have to cut them down

Better keep in in the garage thenVelocity_Stack wrote:I didn't know what bend my bike had when I bought it, so I looked at RMATV's bend chart and compared.
The closest bend to the Renthals already on the bike was the KX low, so I bought some low budget MSRs......... hope I never have to find out how stout they are...

I'm just not looking forward to the first spill and the bars not holding up - which will make me wish I had dropped $60 into a better set.
I would love to invest in the 1 1/8" setup, but it appears to a pain in the rump - gathering parts and pieces to make it all work.

I paid $20 for my renthals off of Craigs List
Saw some Fat Bars the other day for $30
I've got Roxx Risers, they'll accept both 7/8 and 1 1/8 bars
I tried the cheap bar route, it just sucks dealing with wonky bars all the time
These Renthals are stout, I've yet to tweak them
I run Fat Bars on my street bike. I've lowsided on both sides and stuck my handlebar through the door of a truck, and they are straight as the day I bought them
