Postby moto_psycho » 04:37 pm Mar 03 2011

Anybody modified the rear silencer on the SR model? I've got a pro-skill pipe on the front (yeah whatever that is, least it ain't standard! the jap market seem to love them!!) but the rear can i stock, has anyone gutted them atall and had positive effects?

stock silencer like this?

If so, please leave it alone. Probably one of the best stock silencers ever. Not very restrictive, and VERY quiet. Repackable, rebuildable, solid aluminum housing. I don't think you can do anything to make it better.

Unfortunately the SR models came with a completly different muffler to the E series, and from what I remember, the SR muffler doesn't come apart as it doesn't need to be re-packed.

You're probably better off getting a FMF or DEP or similar.

Cheers
