rear caliper carrier issue

Post by casola »

I just picked up a 95 200 and noticed that the rear bearings were shot. As I was poking around I also noticed that the caliper carrier had a ton of rotational play where it meets the swingarm. I'm trying to figure out if one of the two is super worn or if I'm missing a piece that fits between the swing arm and carrier. The carrier channel is "c" shaped and the swing arm tab is "t" shaped.

Any input and advice is appreciated.

Its not supposed to be a tight fit.

The Scotts rotor guard is also a caliper guard. It should not be tight because when you tighten the wheel it should pinch the bracket and hold it in place. If it is Very loose I would go with a rotor guard to fix the issue.
