Im good on the polishing.

Gloss black will do just fine for me.

So when i unbolt th steering stem does it just fall out or will i need to press it out?

Im hanging the bike up on my cherry picker for ease on disassembley and reassembly how do you guys go about it i dont trust a stand.

Im all up for polishing if someones volunteering to do it but i did a set of valve covers and although they looked nice it was way beyond my patience level and seemed like forever i cant imagine the twists turns and curves of the swing arm.

Wgile on the subject of powder coating i was wanting to do the wheels as well how do you think it would do since the wheels will see alot of mud rocks sand etc?

I'd stay away from powder coating the wheels,I relaced a hub and wheel with a friend who had it done and it was the biggest PITA ever and cracked in a few places where we didnt dremel the coating away enough for the nipples.Granted it looked good at first and lasted ok the 2 seasons he rode it's not something he wanted to do again. While it cost more I'd say look into getting wheels and hubs chromed or anodized........it's harder wears better and assembly is 100000000 times easier

no........think you ment ktm=faster. ......... all the joking aside, if yaw are laughing about polishing for looks being stupid, then why waste the time powdercoating, new plastics, or decals, ect?......i dont think that makes the bike "faster" or "feel" better does it??
You powdercoat a bike because it lasts longer than a rattle can and it looks professional and plastics make it look like new.Polishing is for show bikes,it wont last on a dirt bike.

I have always used stands and have never had a problem.

I like it. That military grade self-etching paint would do the trick.
