I'm back with a piston ?

Post by black »

.. I was on this board about 6 years back with 94 kdx200 ... Sold it after I took it part to rebuild for the money I bought it for.
Now have a 99 kdx200
Just cleaned the KIPs due to a blogging issue ... It was definitely never cleaned
Replacing piston as service history is non existent
Measured the cylinder x and y axis
66.06 mm to 65.89 mm
Piston measures at 65.87

So get wiseco 66mm piston. Right ?

But when the piston to cylinder clearance is . 079 to .089. My clearance is 65.89(piston ). Minus 66.06 ( hi value of cylinder) which is .17

Confused. My first 2 stroke .

Do you have the service manual?

My concern with your measuring is that standard is 66.016-66.031. How would yours be smaller? How would a 66 mm piston fit in it??

Where are you measuring cylinder ID? 18 mm from the top?

Where are you measuring piston diameter? 15.5 mm from bottom?
