I picked the forks and trees up from ebay for $100 . I took the tree from my kdx and had the stem pressed out and pressed in to the kx tree with no knurling required. I also pick up a 2006 KX 250 wheel along with the axle and spacers from a 2005. I will tell you that the hub on a 2005 wheel and 2006 wheel are differant and therefor require the spacers for that year wheel, learned that the hard way. I orded some KLX300 headlight straps from local dealer...OUCH. All in all I have about $400 in parts in the front end. I took it out yesterday for the first time and it is not even the same bike..

I used UFO replacement straps on mine. They were about $15 for four and fit perfect.

I have been considering selling my bike due to arthur & carpal. Bitches they are; but after seeing these pics, I think I will work on getting my baby all cleaned up this spring and suffer through the love. :supz:
