Thank you for the warm welcome!!

I live in Sonoma Co. I usually ride Cow Mt. in Ukiah & Middle Creek (C.C. Camp & Penny Pines) in the Mendo. Forest. I also go to Hollister Hills & FOREST HILL (near your back yard, Ski?) Went to Forest Hill in May as a guest of the R.U.T.S.
North club & there were 82 riders registered. :supz: That one was fun!

I just went for a whole week last week, so I need some time to get some work done, but "Let's go riding" sounds great. I want to make 1 more road trip before summer's gone. Let me know!

Nearly neighbors! Great!
I've been wanting to get over to Cow Mt. but only made it as far as Stonyford. Forest Hill is very near me. Has trail 6 out of China Flat closed due to the fire a couple years ago and all the trees across the trail. But 5 is still open and worthy of riding. The others are more quad-like. Middle Creek; that's near Clear Lake, right? I ride there for a couple of enduros; the Sawmill and one other, can't think of it right now. Hollister Hills is too far for me when I've got all the other stuff so nearby.

RUTS, yup, I've been wanting to go to one of their meetings. They WERE about 25 miles from me then moved the meetings to ElkGrove and that's further. Still, I will end up going sometime to check them out. They have private land up near Elkins Flat in South El Dorado County.

ANytime you want to go riding, give me a shout. Start

Thanks, Jason,I'm honored to be here.

Skipro3, That's funny, I've been wanting to go to Stonyford but haven't made it.
I think loop 6 @ Foresthill was open, some of the guys were heading out there. By the time I finished 5 I had 50-sumthin miles in that day and my arms and legs felt like over cooked spaghetti from lifting my bike over so many downed trees so I passed on that one. Loop 5 is a fun, technical trail with some awesome scenery. The RUTS group is an excellent bunch of people, you should check them out. They were drawing numbers & giving out prizes & my 15 yr old boy won some new Pro Taper bars. Middle Creek is near Clear Lake & home of the Sawmill & Cowbell Enduros. If you want to check out Cow Mt. then give me a holler, I will show you around.
The Hollister trails are easy, but fast & fun. They also have 2 MX tracks, a mini track, a TT track, a vintage track, an ATV track, & several insane hillclimbs. Most of the trails are one way, so you can really fly. You should check it out sometime.

Cheers, :partyman:

Welcome!

I'd pack it up for a Stonyford (it's not 'Stoneyford'?) ride one'a these days!

Ski's lookin' to come back up this-a-way for a Prospect OHV ride. WHEN is still sketchy. Nothing at all technical in nature but a fun ride with pretty scenery. Fairly high-speed stuff with (way too much) 'shared use' Forest Service roads...some 48" Sweco track..some single track here and there.

If you want a heads-up when it's 'on', let me or Ski know.

Mr. Wibbens has a couple of pics in his gallery from the Prospect system.

Sure!! I kin fix it!! I'll just tell YOU to throw lots'a money at it..and I'm sure it'll be fine!

Wow. Tires, wheels AND a seat? You ROCK!!

Cheers!

Alright, already.

It's bad enough when Jason PM's me to point out my typo's but when I'm right, I'M RIGHT!!!

http://www.employees.org/~calridng/stnyfrd.html

It is Stonyford AKA Fouts Springs, located in the Stonyford Ranger District of the Mendocino National Forest.

CC: I bet you could drive there from your place in 3 or 4 hours tops.

I'm game for riding there, but it's a bit hot right now.
