New KDX owner :)

Post by engybenjy »

Hello Girls an Boys. Spent an few hours lurking round tonight Plenty of good info on here, looks good.
I passed my DAS about a year ago and have been belting about on a '88 Yam XJ600 but wanted something a little lighter for round town...........So Ive just aquired a Kwak KDX200 of slightly unknown age......
Its registered as Manuf. '96 but on a N reg, thats
N 01 August 1995 31 July 1996.

The bike is water-cooled but uses Pre-mix fuel, arent the later ones oil injection???
Is there anyway of "decoding" the VIN as you can with BMW's???

Cheers, Ben

Where do you live Ben?

That will determine what you have... there were no oil injected bikes in the USA.

It's probably a standard H series KDX. No key ignition, no fork lock, no speedo or any other "street" hardware... correct?

I know we have quite a few UK owners on the site that can help identify your bike ....
