Just another KDX man

Post by kawagumby »

Hi all,
I've been riding KDX's since the mid-eighties. I'm pretty sure I've had eight total. My last one was a 97 220 bought in 96 that I kept until 03. Done lots of mods on them. Since then I've had an 02 WR426, 03 YZ250F, 04 CRF250X. Very good suspensions, all, but 4 strokes suck IMO - too heavy, too much maintenence and I'm afraid they'll start a fire in the brush.
So I just bought a low time 01 220, which I'm in the process of putting USD forks on. (Here in california to ride all year on a 2 stoke it has to be 02 or earlier).

I'm old (59) but still love to jam single track, and a kdx without those dang low-hanging fork tubes will be the ticket!
This site is great!

It's good to have you here. We welcome your experience and ancient wisdom and we look forward to the stories of that big-ol-flood and how it rained for 40 days and 40 nights
