What was involved on the 12-volt conversion? I was told maybe a decade or so ago from Ricky Stator what would be required, but I can not remember what all it needed. I do remember the regulator, I think. :-)

Looks awesome! I bet you have some great woods riding up there. I went to school in Central/Northern Maine, so probably pretty similar environment.

Re: New member from UK but now living in New Brunswick , Canada
The 12 volt conversion was from Ricky Stator . 85 W high output lighting coil with a floating ground .
Basically if you cut the ground wire on the coil and connect it to the the original power wire you get 12 volts . I added a 12 v regulator/rectifier from Ricky and a 12v capacitor , instead of a battery . Limited space !!
Seat cover is now fitted after much swearing , but looks right . Now just sanding the plastic tank and getting it ready for polishing . Crappy time consuming job but will be worth the effort in the end .
Thanks guys for all the positive feedback .

Re: New member from UK but now living in New Brunswick , Canada
Hi all , She's finally finished !!! Took some doing but worth every effort . Hydraulic clutch is pricey but works great and nice one finger pull light . Rides nice , light and wickedly fast for a 200 .
The decals are for a 87 model because I could only get a KDX logo seat cover and the 88 model has Kawasaki on it ,but couldn't get one anywhere.
The plastics are DC ones and the DC headlamp cowl is modified with rubber straps to hold it on at the top . Rear brake cable had a damaged protective cover so i sleeved it with some air hydraulic pipe . Just cut pipe down one edge and snap over cable ( looks like new factory cable now )
Suspension linkage bushes are allballs ones are are listed for KX 250 / KX 500 and they all fit perfectly .
If anyone has any questions , please feel free to ask .
