Hi All and hello from here in sunny England!
I recently (just before lockdown) purchased a running but quite ratty '83 kdx200 to restore. My first issue is that the rear shock is scrap so my first question is does anyone out there have any advice on a suitable replacement?
Secondly, the previous owner has replaced the drum brake front wheel with a later disc brake version. I still cant decide whether to keep it on or look to put it back to standard. I do intend to ride it not just show it so my preference is to leave it alone but any thoughts from this froum will go into the pot for contemplation!
Thanks for having me.
Martin

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the bike purchase. IIRC the 83-84 rear shocks were not rebuildable, so a replacement is probably the answer. Search the forums, this just came up recently.

Welcome. I’d keep the disc brake. I like actually being able to stop.
