After 30 years I finally have a KDX!

In the early nineties I rode an '84 IT200. Loved that bike but I envied my friend for his '89 KDX200. Disc brakes, liquid cooled, smooth ride. A few years later I got a deal I couldn't refuse on a '90 YZ250. Rode that for a few years and then bought a spankin' new '02 WR426. I still have the WR but have been thinking that I would soon move back to a two stroke. This past winter I got a great deal on a gently used '01 KDX220. When I say gently I mean it has original tires with 90% tread. The paint stripe is even still on them! They''ll have to be changed though because they're cracked from sitting flat for so many years.

I sure am looking forward to summer!

Congrats! Looks like a great bike. As someone who has had a WR426 and now a KDX, it will feel like you dropped an easy 75 lbs on the trail. Enjoy!

Nice bike! If you decide to sell off that stock silencer, please let me know. The FMF exhaust on my bike doesn't allow for stealth operation, and I would really like that capability.

Awesome KDX! Word to the wise, put some frame protectors on it. I found a mint 04 that had no scratches. I neglected to put the frame protectors on because I didn't like the look. 3 rides later the paint had rubbed off... Dumb on my part haha. Either way, enjoy mate!
