Noob in CO

Post by Vossman »

Just picked up an 04 KDX 200 (H10 I believe) and was told this was a great site. Looks like I can't post pics without links so I'll have to figure that out but thanks for letting me in.
I'm in Colo Spgs if anyone is close and wants to go ride.

Me too. :supz:

Where do you usually ride? (Assuming you've had another bike before the KDX.)

Don't bother with Photobucket for picture hosting. :naughty:

Been to Rainbow Falls a few times but mostly up near Lake George and Tarryall. I don't get to ride much due to work. I've never done Divide but I heard the trails were long. You?

717 in the summer, at least when it's not supposed to rain. We go to Penrose in the winter, but it's a bit too rocky and flat for my taste. Still, in the winter the choices are limited and Penrose beats sitting on the couch.

postimage.org has been working well for me to host photos since photobucket stopped working.

Post up your jetting once you have it figured out.

I probably ride at similar elevation to you, I ride at 7,000-9,000 typically, right now I am running a 150 main jet with a CEN needle with the clip in the #2 position. I have a 42 pilot jet in it, the air screw adjustment is in the middle of its range with the 42. I have an FMF gnarly woods pipe and FMF silencer on the bike.

Working on the jetting now, it's a bit rich with the current JD setup. Same pipe and silencer as you too.

I was close to buying the JD kit, and I've spent enough on needles and jets now that I could have bought the JD kit, oh well, I do have it sorted now.
