Hi,
Just picked up an 86 KDX. It's running but needs a few things fixed up. It's going to be my winter project to tinker around with. Just getting back into dirt after being away for 35 years. Funny how we always want to return to our youth. I hope to do some trail rides in the spring. I definitely will need some help and will throw some questions out there to the experienced KDX guys. Appreciate your help.
Best,
Perry

Congratulations on choosing such a fine machine. Seriously tho it is my favorite KDX model. I just like air cooled for it's rugged simplicity. Enjoy and welcome!

Congrats on the new (to you) machine! I also recently came into an air cooled bike ('82 KDX 250), and am in the process of learning all I can about it and about two stroke bikes in general. Luckily, I got a couple of rides in on mine before the snow flew (3 or 4 inches on the ground as of this morning in SE Michigan). Good luck on the winter tune-up, and I hope it runs well for you next season!
