New "Old Timer" in the UK
Posted: 03:47 am Dec 04 2016
Hi all
I've just returned to the KDX fold after a 28 year absence. Bought a 2002 KDX 220, 2900 miles on the odo. Great condition, suspension front and rear completely refurbished, bushes, bearings and swingarm. I like to do my own mechanicals and not scared of spanner-bending!
Originally had a 1984 KDX 2000 from new when I lived in South Africa and loved it and the freedom from being able to ride wth no reservations, no restrictions and no cares. I used to do all my own maintenance, top-end, suspension works with limited funds/tools.
I now live in Surrey, not far out of London and looking to ride trails/green lanes with a bit of low key Enduro.
This seems a very friendly and informative site and if anyone in the UK has similar ideas get in contact.
