Been wanting a KDX for some time now, signed up and lurking ever since, been riding and loving my '93 XR200R the whole while then couple weeks back finally found one for a god deal, 00 KDX220R. At 48 yrs old prefer to putt putt about the trails, tractor about the goat trails enjoying being outdoors in the great Pacific Northwest woods.

Welcome, you will love the 220. At 58 I quite enjoy the power/torque of the 220. I've had the RB head/carb mod done and did the shim stack mod,got a 1" lowering link and am happy as can be!

My cylinder head and carb are at Rons as I type, receiving his magic, should have em back early next week.jjavaman wrote:Welcome, you will love the 220. Will look into the Shim-Stack mod, my suspension could use a little work. Forks feel ok but appear to slightly seeping fluid, the rear is a bit too soft.
Removed ALL the stickers and factory decals, want to add back subtle yet simple badging.

Congrats on a great find . At 53 I still love to ride " trail aggressive " and the 220 is great for that.BRAAP wrote:Been wanting a KDX for some time now, signed up and lurking ever since, been riding and loving my '93 XR200R the whole while then couple weeks back finally found one for a god deal, 00 KDX220R. If one likes to tinker , plenty of good mods can be done wo hurting any the stock characteristics.
