'93 KDX 200

Post by chopper 5 »

G'day from New Zealand.
Just returned home with a rather sad looking '93 KDX 200. It was bought from a Police Recovery Yard, so there could be many hidden issues with it. The bike kicks over okay but it will need a complete frame strip down. Hopefully not the engine as well...

Okay, finally finished the old '93 KDX 200. I ended up doing a complete rebuild, Wossner piston, stainless power valves, 'new' KX carb and slide, rebuilt rear shock etc.
First ride today and it's brilliant! Rides like a new bike and reminds me of the brand new KDX175 I bought way back in 1981.
My next project is to restore a '96 KX500 that lurks in the shed. It all looks familiar, only twice as big..!

Thanks to all who contribute their wisdom on this site. Much appreciated.

Cheers.
