Looking at 96' KDX

Post by Rango96200 »

So to start off this bike is only 600 dollars and needs some engine work. Sounds decent. Well the headlight/plate is gone off the front. No kill switch. Handlebar mount is bent. Oh here is the best/worst part depending on viewpoiint. The engine is from an 86 kx250. Owner states it ran good, but was due for a top end rebuild and the crank seal was leaking. Based on the fact my goals were to make this thing street legal mainly for short commutes and trail riding im not so sure I shouldnt keep looking.

I personally would keep looking. For what you would end up putting into it you could probably get something that doesn't require as much work.

I thought it seemed like a lot more than I wanted to deal with for the money. The seller says he didn't really want to budge and would just keep it if I don't buy it. Thanks guys.
