New Old Guy from SEO - New to KDX

Post by kiohio »

Hello All!
My name Jeff......
From Southeastern Ohio (where the men are men and the sheep wear chastity belts)
As far as dirt bikes go I a had a new XR250R back in 1987, sold soon after (marriage) and a new XR250L in 1993, sold soon after purchase
(times got unexpectedly tough).
Have been on quads for the passed 8 years. Slow ones, set up for mudbogs.
So it's been years since I was on bike, but my girlfriends son has a CRF250R and that kind of got me interested again.
So the hunt for the best woods bike for the money started.
EVERYWHERE I looked online said the most bang for the buck was the KDX
Looked around and found a 96 that was set up for the woods.
USD forks (valved for woods) FMF pipe and muff, jetted etc.
Looking forward to hitting the trails.
BTW all of this is you guys fault LOL :partyman:
Great little forum you have here.
I'll post some pics as soon as I get some.

Thanks Guys!
Had it out today just playing around in the yard.
Trying to get my dirt bike legs back.
Dang this thing is pretty peppy even with my 230lbs on it.
Changed transmission oil tonight, had a bit more sparkle than I like to see, but it shifts well, will let it ride awhile and see how it goes.
Need to bleed brakes and a few other little things but I think I'm good.
