New guy on the block - 1980 KDX250A1

Postby jmshiprep » 12:53 pm Aug 02 2015

Hello group. After years of searching for a cool, 2-stroke, street-legal "enduro," I found my newest bike: 1980 KDX250A1. I have raced MX for 40 years and have about 10 race bikes, but this is my first time on the pavement. I now have about 50 pavement miles under my belt. God only knows how this KDX got street titled, but I'm running with it. It seems to need one thing: a disk brake front end. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks for welcoming me to the forum. I'll keep an eye out on you guys and post specific fork-swap questions in the future.

Hi. Welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on your KDX.

You may want to check on converting to a newer KDX's front end.
Thank you, Julien D for all your hard work!

PLEASE! Do not "dip" PWK Keihin carbs in Berryman's to clean them! It will damage the internal o-ring (jet block gasket).
