My son (6'2" 240 pounds,16 years old) graduated up from earlier Yamaha trail bikes. A very good friend has gotten into go karts and doesn't ride dirt much anymore and sold us his 2001 KTM 300 and 1998 KDX 200, both immaculate and very well maintained.
I've been riding the 300, until my son gets used to the power of the 300, and can't wait to pass the KTM on to him. We redid the forks and shock on the KDX, and now he thinks it's a little stiff, but it feels just right to me.
Look forward to spending time on the forum.
