Newbie from Ireland

Hi,I recently bought a kdx200h 1996.
It looks completely standard and will be starting to tune it asap as it needs some more go, I've been riding 4 strokes for the last decade or so ie xr600, wr426, wr450. I mostly ride tight technical trails and carrying the odd injury or two it's time to get back on a 2 stroke. Any tips and information on setup for slippery muddy trails would be much appreciated (wet conditions here most of the time) Thanks.

Thanks, yeah there good fun but as soon as you turn off the logging roads your left with a choice between bog's which I've had to dig bikes out of and slippery roots which keep you concentrated to say the least.

If the bike is running properly, then the best mod you can make for slippery roots is a "trials" tire. I saw the new Kenda Hybrid, WOW what an impressive tread design. Mix between an MX tire's side knobs and a trials tire center section. I've had really good luck with the Kenda Washougal on the wet roots and dessert terrain and golf ball sized loose rocks. The Washougal II looks even better with a softer compound in the middle and a good cornering compound on the outside.
