Brought an 02 200 home today

Post by SETXshooter »

First time dirt bike owner, but I have had street bikes. Bough it from 2nd owner and he added exhaust (did not rejet), silencer, new fork springs, tires.

Paid $1700 for it and just found a 2 year newer for $1200, dangit.

Rode it around the blocks a few time and can't wait to get it off road. I need to do a lot of starting point maintenance and will get that before going offroad.

Don't sweat it. That's how it goes. Lol

I doubt a $1200 04 would be half as nice as yours.
That thing is clean!

Eh, $1200 bike probably needed $800 in work we something like that. [emoji16] Nice looking bike and super clean. I'd say you did well.

Talked to previous owner today and the top end was rebuilt by first owner, so YAY! So far I have set the sag, lowered the bike, changed fuel ratio, repacked the silencer and chopped the kickstand by 1.5". I have retensioned the chain, twice, and played with the idle screw. I may go ahead and do the sprockets, chain and guides. Can't wait to actually get her into the woods/dirt.
