New kdx rider in MO
Just picked up an '01 kdx200. I wanted something smaller and nimbler than the dr650 I've been riding. I think this bike will do the trick. I mostly ride trails and mine tailings(sand).

That's quite a leap to the other end of the spectrum, but a great choice. Congratulations!

It's a blast. I love riding my son's! In fact it caused me to switch back over to 2-strokes. Well, that and the ease of maintenance [emoji16]

Re: New kdx rider in MO
I have a good friend who did the exact thing. I rode my KDX and he rode his DR650. He thought the DR was the bike. He now owns a KDX200 and will be selling the DR this spring. DR is a great bike, but not a true dirt bike. I live in eastern Oklahoma, welcome to the forum.
