New Member Introduction

hello to all,
new member to this forum and wanted to make my first post and introduction.and first post
I live in central texas, and recently bought a 2004 KDX200, that has some work done to it, including:
Boyesen Reeds
KX 250 front suspension w/ pro action valving
rental bars
bark busters
larger rear sprocket
FMF QT silencer
FMF Fatty Gold Pipe
all lighting removed and VR removed
I am new to dirt bikes but have a nice collection of street bikes 7 in total ranging from a 2014 FJR1300ES to a 1972 CB350F.
I am wanting to install a Trail Tech Striker but its specs require 9VAC+, and my BLK/Y and Red indicate 3-4VAC at idle (without a VR or light switch). Also the female side of the VR pigtail is intact and is indicating the same voltage. So I think i am having some issues with the lighting system somewhere.
I won't get into too much detail here but i will post in the appropriate area as this was just intended as an introduction first.
thanks for the help in advance...
