New KDX 200 rider, PA

Post by Kawboykid »

Hey KDXRIDER, I got my first kdx a few months ago and have already gotten a bunch of great info from threads here. I've just been reading a lot and finally got around to writing my first posts now that I'm getting my bike set up for the season. I'm looking to upgrade to stiffer fork springs for my '97 KDX200 so I wrote a post in the H-series specific section, but figured I would check in here too and say hi. I'm in PA outside of Philly but I do most of my riding in South Jersey.

Here's my post if you have any fork spring rate advice for me! http://www.kdxrider.net/forums/viewtopi ... 86&t=15391

Welcome to KDXRIDER! Glad you decided to speak up :). If you check FRPOffroad and Racetech, they both have calculators to recommend spring. If you're more into trail riding, I'd lean more toward the FRP recommendations, as they tend to be on the softer side. Racetech's recommendations turn out to be too stiff for trail riding much of the time. Either way, it will give you a pretty good idea what you need to look for.
