Greetings from the Pacific North West! I recently got a 1990 KDX 200 that was a complete bike but a not runner. I have worked it over and looks a lot better but still a non runner. I will be asking a lot of questions here!

Welcome to the forums, and to your project. Lots of good info and help to be found here. Best first purchase is a manual, will save you in the long run and your bike will love you for it.
