Re: 1996 KDX200 - New Bike/Rider
Unless I'm missing something here, you'll have two different bikes. One is a 200 and the other a 220. They don't take the same jets stock. Assuming everything is stock, the 200 should originally have a 48PJ and 160MJ if I remember correctly. Most drop those numbers several jets but they are still larger than the jets in the 220 carbs. The 220 has a smaller (33 vs 35mm) carb and thus uses smaller jets. Make sure you realize they shouldn't be the exact same.

If I am following the thread right one of you has a 200 and the other a 220. That will make a noticeable difference in the jetting.

It was awesome up there, 1st time I had it out in its element. These things go like stink, the thing was climbing loose rocky trails with ease, I'm loving this bike!

Re: 1996 KDX200 - New Bike/Rider
Oh don't worry, mine kept stalling, would not idle. It would run great for a while, then start loading up on downhills, I'd have to pull the clutch in,rev it to keep it going and try to brake while going down loose rock downhills...a little hair raising I must say. We still rode 97.4 km so great day, I carried 1 lt of spare gas so I guess 85 to 90 km a tank which is a good range!
The guy who I rode with has a 250 Honda crf-x and took mine out for a blast up a fire road and could not believe how light and fast it was, hehehe! I told once you ride a 2 stroke you don't go back!
Did you take your carb apart yet?

Try http://www.jetsrus.com/index.html to see if the prices match what you want to spend. They have everything you will need for your carb. Even new ones at good prices if you need it.
EDIT
I was just looking around on their site and found a WTF type of thing. Jets R Us is a motor sport oriented site with all sorts of carb parts, pistons, tools, electrical, and then I found this, http://www.jetsrus.com/lures/lure_selection.html .????
