Hello Guys,
Picked this bike up last weekend. Already stuck my nose in the RB/Hybrid sections. I'm going to look at a '94 KX125 roller within the next few days. Donation made.

Nice, what's the story on it, how dead is it? I think it looks pretty good about like my 92. It's a project on its own .

Drove past a swap meet last Sunday, and spotted it sitting in the back of a truck with a 4 sale sign. He wanted $450 and told me it was siezed, but I got it for 300. Pulled the pipe when I got home and looked in the exhaust port. Cylinder doesn't look too shagged, but when I checked the oil, it was pretty empty, and the drain plug threads were stripped. Someone ran it too much with low oil at some point. I was looking for a cheap bike to fix up, anyway. I also found a roller '97 CR250 in the area. No paperwork, though. Might negotiate with him some more later this weekend.

Welcome!
FYI, if you are thinking of doing a hybrid, the KDX250 is a totally different animal that the KDX200/220 bikes. Look for a KX250 chassis as the KDX250 is based off the KX250 engine to begin with and will be a much easier hybrid to build. KX125's are used for most hybrids because the KDX200/220 engines are bases on the KX125.

Thanks for mentioning that. Any particular year? I'm wondering if I can use the original swing arm to save costs. I understand they're shorter than the KX S/A's. Would that make *big* difference?
