Welcome to the KDX world.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just ride the crap out of it and do the normal maintenance.

Once you get some experience on it and riding in general you can start thinking mods. Purchase a manual and start going over the bike maintenance and adjusting the sag and suspension. The manual will have all the info you need for jetting. You can get a very good online manual by clicking on the link at the top right of this page.

Give this a good reading http://kdxrider.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1156 It should get you where you need to be for jetting.

The suspension will work for you depending on how you ride but there is plenty of room for improvement. Get some time on it and go from there.

The list of mods should probably start with suspension. But as we all know it's hard to pass up shinney go fast parts.

Sweet not putting money in it right now sounds good to me. I didn't crunch my radiator the other day though. Any .suggestions on radiator guards?

I have a set of works connection radiator braces and have never crushed a radiator. (But I never did before I had them either. They were free or I wouldn't have them. )
