Hi from Beavercreek, OR

Post by kawabunga »

Just getting into dirtbikes after a 25 year hiatus.
Bought a 92' KDX that took a big dump right after taking ownership.

I probably should have sold it then and cut my losses, But I've always had a soft spot for mechanical orphans. Stuck it in my shed thinking I'd deal with it next spring. But- I kept hearing a siren- song coming from that direction, next thing, It had me sucked in, so I tore it all down and found a lot of things wrong. Past the point of no return.
Consider myself lucky to have found a dedicated site to help put it all back together.
Bought a 83' new and rode it hard for the next three years, with zero problems. Did poker runs, trail rode, and even did a couple ISDE qualifiers.
Three of my buds bought 350 4-strokes, rode my bike and sold them.
reviving old war-horse.

Welcome to the site. Lots of gearheads fixing basket cases here. You'll fit right in.
