their beer and their chocolate are among the best in the world, and their food in general is great
its amazing they do not have the obesity problems the US has

but im not sure if Cedric knows what a brouwerij is, if I remember correctly he is from the wrong (read, French) part of Belgium :shh:

I don't drink alcohol at all, only chocolate :D But if you like that, I think I'm in the right part of the country (Maredsous, Chimay, Floreffe, Saint-Feuillien, Leffe, Rochefort, Orval, ...)

I dismounted all spokes from my KX 250 97 front wheel before painting. I noticed that the rim is slightly bent on 4-5 cm.

I wondered if I can mount the kdx rim on the kx hub ?

You can, the rims are interchangeable. Just an FYI, my wheel guy straightens rims out while by truing the wheel. You can try that as well.

thoughts about replacing the stock front forks with ones from a KX should be reserved for very good riders that are racing (enduro, cross country, desert, motocross). Damn, I used to motocross a '89 KDX200 with stock forks and after a spring and oil change I had no complaints with the forks. The shock was another story. I eventually replaced it with an Ohlins shock. That rear suspension was a total wet dream. OMG !

It's more clear with a picture :)

So that can be fixed, or....You can use the KDX wheel with the KX spokes, but, IIRC, the holes on the KDX wheel will have to be drilled out a little bit.

I just noticied that my 97 KX125 upper triple is different from the 250. The 125 triple is molded in one piece:

And on the 250 the bar clamps are separated:

Can it be problematic on the KDX ? The KDX triple was also with this rubber thing. I presume it's made for reducing vibrations ? Maybe it can also limit the handlebar choice ?
Fortunately the lower triple is the same.

I prefer the solid mounts, as they don't twist in crashes.

What colors did you use on the swing arm and frame? Where did you get the seat cover?

I replaced my swingarm bearings (All Balls) but they don't turn freely by a finger. Is it normal ?

I dismounted the new bearing and it's not good  For the exterior bearings it 's ok, the sleeve enters freely but for the interior bearings I have to force. This is why the sleeve won't turn. The combo All Balls cheap chinese bearings + young mechanic in the neighborhood was a bad idea.

Now I reassemble the forks. But I'm not sure, is the proper mounting ?

I just powdercoated my hubs gold as well! haha What color did you use for them? I used Sun Gold on mine. Everything looks good man, should be pretty awesome when its done! Where are you getting the spokes and nipples from? I am having a hard time finding gold nipples and black spokes.
