Yesterday, got a lot accomplished. First I cleaned the silencer core. Just about every hole in it was closed due to carbon build up. It must have been loud as hell. I cleaned out all 800 holes individually. 50 rows with 16 holes in each roll.

Put on the seat and fuel tank.

As I was working on it, the postman showed up with some goodies. If you look in the above post I had the original chain slider on it. Well the new one showed up. Also, showing up(lucky timing) was the chain block and lower slider. Put on a new fuel petcock and fuel line. I also went with a little bling and got a gold D.I.D. chain.

And here's where I finished off.

My assistant in the build is ready to roost on it, LOL

All that is left to do is:
Install brakes master cylinders
Run the brake lines
Bleed the brakes(Yuck, I hate doing this)
Install foot pegs
Put on side panels(haven't received them yet)
Get the factory style graphics

So, thanks to someone on VitalMX, they told me about an issue the 89's and 90's with a dragging clutch. The outer clutch cover is made of magnesium. It is to weak which makes the clutch drag. The 91-93 cover is made of aluminum and is much stiffer. So, I hit up ebay and ordered up a new outer cover.

It's alive! Something in back in March that seemed so far off. From I pile of parts(which was also missing a lot of parts) to an actual running bike. Started it for the first time yesterday. Fourth kick and she fired off. While it was running I found one issue, the throttle cable was pinched between the radiator and the frame which was causing a high idle. Once I fixed that, it was good to go. Took it for a real short ride down the street as I could not get the brakes to bleed. So other than bleeding the brakes and putting the OEM style graphics on it, I'm calling it done. Oh yeah, don't mind the right side peg, cheap Chinese crap, the bottom of the peg snapped off when I was kicking the bike, my foot hit it to hard, good thing this happened when it did and I was wasn't riding it.

Heck yeah! WAY to go, and CONGRATULATIONS!

Check that chain tension, though.

Looks damn good!
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Thanks guys. It was a fun build, but trying at times.

Yeah, I know the chain is way to tight.
