Another Brand

Post by jstcraig »

At the risk of being excommunicated from the KDX forum I would like to ask a tech question about a TT350 for a friend, if any one has had experience with one of theses or can direct me to a forum. So a rebuild is under way and nearly complete just the clutch side to reassemble after apply some thread seal and torquing a few bolt, I rotated the engine only to hear a click click coming from the rotor, being a magneto/ cdi system the magnetic pick up is situated at approximately one o'clock on the outer edge of the rotor, should the pick up engage to the point of creating noise, I can only think what it would be like under power, any thoughts

The pickup isn't touching is it? It should be silent and adjusted to be around .020" away from the rotor.

Thankyou that's what I thought, they have to have an air gap like any pickup
Cheers
