Re: new project for my boys
Yea the guy raced it, hard by the looks of it. But for a $150 ill fix it up. I'm putting it back to a dirtbike. I've got twins and only had 1 crf50, they were starting to complain about sharing. Hopefully soon we Will be trail ready.

Re: new project for my boys
Good luck with that. Aftermarket parts are way harder to come by than for a CRF. Keep checking the rear spokes or they will get loose, and the wiring harness went bad on ours. It's the only Yammie I ever had trouble with.

Re: new project for my boys
Yea I looked for a kdx 50, they are are next to impossible to find around here. Once there ready for a 60 I can get them a kx. I still need to get a graphic kit for the ttr. I do love the electric start on the ttr.diymirage wrote:both those colours look weird

Re: new project for my boys
My kids rode the snot out of the ttr, and it worked well up until the end, then it wouldn't start with the seat on.
The kx 65 is really a mini kdx and is easy to lower with CR 85 dogbones. They share a lot of the design, and actually a few parts. The 65 from 2003-current is a far better bike than the 60, and parts are cheaper. Kaw actually made some 65's for Suzuki to sell as RM 65's, so you can sometimes get oem parts from Suzuki cheaper. Most aftermarket pipes add low end power and actually make them easier to ride.
