Odometer/timer upgrade
Hi all, I am curious if anyone has installed a newer aftermarket digital odometer/timer? Most of them I've seen are speedometers that include trip odometers and timers. I found one from a manufacturer that states it will specifically fit the 1987 KDX 200. I'm curious to know how involved it is and if there are any major alterations that have to be done?

Likely it's a universal unit. It will have some kind of pickup that you attach to the front wheel hub and fork that will allow it to keep track of front wheel speed.

Exactly what Nick said. Trail Tech makes several models to choose from. They'll all fit, they're all universal mounting.

Re: Odometer/timer upgrade
I’ve seen videos of bikes with bicycle Speedo units on them and will try that just to mess around with. BTW…my ‘06 200 has the Kx usd front end on it with a Koso speedometer that only reads kilometers per hour. Can’t figure out how to switch it.
