I have finally completed the carburetor upgrade. I purchased the bike in March. It was just missing something in the lower throttle range. Just not snappy. I sent the Mikuni carb out for rebuild. Once rebuilt I tried a bunch of different jet and needle clip combos. I still could't get it to run like I know it could. On to the Keihin carb. I purchased the '88 carb on ebay. New throttle cable from Motion Pro. Used/dipped air box intake from Ebay. Reproduction manifold from Hotfootmoto on Ebay. Sent the carb out for rebuild. Got everything installed this morning. Bike runs so much better. I am still working out the jetting and will have some questions that I will get into later.

I think the throttle cable could have been some of my problems with the Mikuni carb. When removing it this morning I found it frayed under the throttle housing.
