KIPS spacer plate

Post by KDX Geoff »

I'm moving into the mid/late 80's with a couple of kdx's.

I'm looking for a 12mm spacer to increase the size of this chamber for a better bottom end.

Does anyone make them or know where l can buy one ?

Thanks

Oh, here's a pic of the bike in 1987, I found the original owner...

Dave Miller Concepts used to make them. I think they were 10 mm.

If you can't find one, how about getting another cover and machining the fins off down to the bolt surface. Make your own.

It is moving along.

I think they would be hard to find a used one on eBay. I bought a used bike one time with one on it.

I'd be very interested to hear if this helps.
I've got a spare motor but don't really want to sacrifice that part unless it is worthwhile.
DMC has a facebook page but his website link didn't work.

I have been looking for good reference articles for the KIPS system on the C-models.
Any good links to share?
